Are you thinking about becoming a certified yoga instructor, or looking to deepen your personal yoga practice? Nirvana Yoga's 200 hour teaching program will take you and your yoga to the next level. Over the course of a 1 year immersion, you will develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to lead entry level yoga classes. You will be guided by a team of veteran teachers who will not only teach, but who will also give you the opportunity to teach alongside them, and who will provide you feedback on your teaching practice. You will demonstrate the competencies necessary for you to attain your Yoga Alliance RYT 200 teacher training certificate.

Over the course of the year, you will receive all the right tools needed to conduct a professional class when you get your certificate. The program includes a teaching practicum, designed to give you the opportunity to practice teaching in a safe and supported environment. You will also study the history and ancient roots of yoga philosophy and practices; learn more about the deeper layers of the physical body and subtle body; experience the effects of different styles of breathing; and practice different styles of meditation.

Dates:
The course will take place over 1 weekend each month from 9AM - 6:00PM throughout 2023. The weekends are: Jan 14/15, Feb 11/12, Mar 11/12, Apr 15/16, May 6/7, Jun 10/11, July 8/9, Aug 12/13, Sept 9/10, Oct 14/15, Nov 11/12 & Dec 9/10. Our first meeting will be on Sunday, January 8th from 10:30 - 1:30 followed by our first full weekend of training on the 14th & 15th. An additional 8 hours will be scheduled on an individual basis and will include observation, co-teaching, and feedback with the lead teacher. |
